The suspects, originally from Russia, are accused of conspiring to smuggle over $500,000 worth of high-end snowmachines and related parts without obtaining the necessary licenses. The arrests were made by authorities in Anchorage, Alaska and Bellevue, Washington, where Nefedov and Shumovich reside, respectively. The DOJ has launched an investigation into the matter and is working to bring the suspects to justice.
